Michael FordMichael G. Ford is a nationally recognized leader in the transit industry with more than twenty years experience in executive and leadership roles in transit properties in Washington, Oregon and California. With experience leading transportation operations systems, including fixed-route bus systems, on-demand service, ADA and Para transit, integrated bus and light rail metropolitan systems, circulator and community shuttle services, Michael is a proven leader in transit and creating organizational excellence.

Michael recently participated in an ENO Foundation mission to Europe as a select group of transit officials to study sustainable transportation practices in Ireland, Germany and Italy. Michael is currently an advisor for the Transit Research Board research project to study Tribal Transit issues.

Michael Ford, Principal at MG Ford Consulting, was the force behind the creation and development of a comprehensive resource guide designed to give immigrant and refugee residents easier access to essential community services in their native language. This guide, Key Links Community Access Guide, earned the 1999 APTA National Grand Prize Award. This guide provides information on a wide range of basic services in a step-by-step format. This model program has been utilized by the City of Bellevue, Washington, the City of Tukwila, Washington, FEMA, and the Immigrant and Refugee Forum of Washington.

Michael’s community service includes board memberships on United Way, Ride Connection and Big City Mountaineers. Michael holds a Bachelor degree in Sociology and Philosophy from Pacific University, and an MBA from City University.
